Two snakes compete for fruit. Every fruit is a bet: both players stake its value, and the player who catches it wins the pot.

How it plays

Two players, one 20×20 board, a snake each. The board moves one step every 300 ms.
A snake that leaves the board or runs into a snake’s body crashes. If two heads meet, both crash.
One fruit lies on the board at a time, worth 1 to 6. It appears about as far from one head as from the other, so neither player is favoured.
Each fruit is a round of its own: both players stake its value, and a catch adds the pot less the rake to the catcher’s winnings.
If both snakes crash, no money moves between the players. Leaving the table counts as crashing.
Bots stake nothing: a match against a bot opens no rounds and moves no money.

How the money works

Each fruit is a round of its own. If one snake crashes or leaves the table, the survivor takes the crashed player’s fruit winnings, up to the survivor’s own stakes. A fruit nobody catches is refunded, and if the match cannot finish, every open round is refunded, caught fruit included.
